Members of the Materials and Construction Systems for Building research group of the University of Alicante have developed a system for fastening the framework used in the construction of reinforced concrete elements.

This system significantly improves the performance of current techniques and it is based on the use of small pieces, which have an innovative shape that allows the fastening of vertical and horizontal framework reinforcement in a simple and fast manner. The cost of these pieces is reduced, the workers do not require prior specialized training and the system may be applied in all kinds of works. Its use facilitates and considerably reduces the time of execution of the work. The research group is looking for companies interested in commercial exploitation.
